Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th December 1991. Matthew Matt James was a mixed race child of Manny James (of Jamaican descent) as well as Patty James. The mother of Manny James was caucasian and his father Nigerian. He graduated in 2010 from Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. James' fame kick-started when he made his on-screen debut on the reality star during The Bachelorette. In the year 2020, he was selected as the bachelor for The Bachelor's season 25, becoming the only African American male lead which was later aired in 2021. James was a perfect fit for the role because his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded and has a sense of comedy. Rachael krkconnell was chosen to play his partner during the season. James was paired with dancer Arnold who was popular at the time to participate in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th place.
